Van keel met drie sleutels van goud paalsgewijs geplaatst, de sleutelbaard langs boven en naar rechts gedraard - het schild geplaatst voor een Sint Martinus te paard, die een stuk van zijn mantel geeft aan een arme, neergeknield, staande achter hem - alles van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 10, 1954.
The three keys are the symbol of the St. Pieters Abbey in Gent, to which the village and estate of Desselgem historically belonged. St. Martin, the supporter, is the local patron saint.
