Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on October 22, 2008.

The fork in the main field is canting for the town's name. "Rozsochatec" derives from the word "rozsocha" meaning something forked or dividing. The blye colour symbolises water and air while the silver base is taken from the arms of the Bechyňové z Lažan family (three red fish on a silver field), who owned the town from 1600 until 1892. The red chief is a reference to the former village Jahodov ("Strawberryville"), annexed into Rozsochated. The four linden leaves in chief refer to the 400 year old linden trees located in the town.
