Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 27, 1964.

The arms are a combination of the lion of the arms of the Wild- or Rheingrafen, to whom the village historically belonged, and in the base three diamonds with black balls. The diamonds are taken from the arms of the Lords of Boos, the black balls from the Lords of Sickingen, both families for some time ruled the village.
