Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
KAPPELWINDECK
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rastatt (until 1972 Bühl)
Incorporated into : 1934 Bühl
Official blazon
In Rot ein goldenes Tischgestell (zwei mit der Spitze aufeinanderstehende Dreiecke).
Origin/meaning
The municipality of Kappelwindeck used a seal since 1762 with two triangles, the old village sign. In 1819 a new seal was made, which showed the bend of Baden and the letter K as the initial of the municipality (see picture below).
In 1900 the State Archives proposed the old seal with the village sign as arms. The local council approved these arms, which were used until 1934.
