BALBINOS
State : São Paulo
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 8, 1980.
The golden field symbolises the rich and fertile lands. The sun symbolises that the city is situated in the center of the state of São Paulo, and, like the sun, thus occupies a central position.
The Paschal Lamb is the symbol of St. John Baptist, patron saint of the city.
The shield is surrounded by corn and coffee branches, the main agricultural crops in the area.
Literature : Image and background provided by Lauro Ribeiro Escobar, São Paulo.
