Half of the decanate used to fall beneath the [[Diocese of Litomyšl]] until the 16th century which is referenced by the golden cross on black. The red-silver part meanwhile references the arms of the arms of the [[Archdiocese of Olomouc]] beneath which the decanate now falls. The crowned < is a symbol of the Virgin Mary, which is reminiscent of local defunct monasteries of Corona Mariae near [[Třebařov]] and Cella Janua Vitae S. Mariae near [[Krasíkov (Ústí nad Orlicí)|Krasíkov]]
