Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 10, 1908.

The arms show the combined arms of the Renty-Croy family (see also Ghlin, Celles, Gottignies, Mignault and others). The estate of Havré became a possession of Philippe de Croy in 1518. The estate remained a possession of the Croy family until the end of the 18^th century.

The oldest seal of the council of Havré dates from the end of the 16^th century and already shows the arms of the family. The above arms were based on this seal.
