English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 4, 1948.
The arms show the island of Corvo, which is basically a large volcano, with a canting raven (Corvo). The fish symbolises the importance of fishing for the island. Above the island is the eagle of the Açores group.
