Portuguese Escudo de verde, quatro palas de prata, chefe de prata carregado de um aqueduto de cinco arcos de negro; bordadura de negro carregada de oito ramos de três laranjas de ouro folhados e ligados por troncos de verde. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro: “ SANTO ANTÃO DO TOJAL “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 17, 1992.

The arms show the local aquaduct, one of the oldest in the Lisbon region, 4 km long and used for the fountains in the local palaces. The lower half shows garden plots and is a symbol for the local agriculture. The bordure is taken from the arms of Loures city. Literature : image send by Sergio Horta
