EMPFINGEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Freudenstadt
Additions : 1971 Wiesenstetten
Official blazon

Origin/meaning
The arms are derived from the arms of the Lords of Wehrstein and adopted by the municipality in 1948. The arms were officially granted on October 27, 1950.
Empfingen was the capital of the Estate of Wehrstein. From 1101-1395 the town and surrounding area was ruled by the Lords of Wehrstein. Later it became an Austrian possession and in 1803 it became part of Württemberg.
