  • (1842) Eenen zilveren schild met de H. Maegd Maria naer het leven, regt staende tegen eenen groenen eyk, en gekleed met een blauw kleed, bezaeyd met gulden sterren, alles van goud.
  • (1987) In zilver een gekroonde Onze-Lieve-Vrouw met kind Jezus en scepter van natuurlijke kleur, haar mantel van lazuur bezaaid met sterren van goud, staande voor een eik van sinopel op een zwevende grasgrond.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 14, 1842 and again on September 3, 1987.

The arms are a combination of the patron saint (St. Mary) with a canting tree (Boom in Dutch). The combination also appeared already on the seal of the local council from 1645.
