Official blazon
Ingebogen gekapt 1. in lazuur een kraaiende haan van zilver, gebekt, gepoot, gekamd, gebaard en getongd van keel 2. in zilver een geledigd krulkruis van keel vergezeld van vier eendjes van sabel 3. in sabel een bruinvis van zilver, doorboord met twee schuingekruiste harpoenen van goud.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on December 10, 1986.
The arms are a combination of a canting rooster (Haan) in the upper right corner. The porpoise is derived from the arms of Wenduine, whereas the point shows the former arms of Vlissegem. The cross also appeared in the arms of Klemskerke.
