SAMTGEMEINDE HAGE
State : Niedersachsen
District (Kreis) : Aurich
Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted in 1959 to to the municipality of Hage.
The arms show the lion of the Hinkema family, who built the local castle in the 14th century. In 1446 the castle became a possession of the local church. The fence is canting (Haag = fence).
