DOBROMIERZ

Province: Dolny Śląsk
County: Świdnica

Coat of arms (crest) of Dobromierz
Official blazon
Polish blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms of the city show a kind of arrow and two letters W. The arrow is described as a Armbrustbolzen (a German word, I have no idea about an English translation) and is supposedly a canting element. The town got city rights in 1409 from King Wenzel, which explains the W. The city at the time was ruled by Zanker von Grunau, whose nickname supposedly was 'Bolze'.

Siegel von Dobromierz

The municipal stamp shown in 1892
Coat of arms (crest) of Dobromierz

The arms in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925
Coat of arms (crest) of Dobromierz

The arms as shown around 1970
