Origin/meaning

The arms show the Paschal Lamb (Agnus Dei), the symbol of St. John Baptist, the patron saint of the town.

Historically the town also used arms with St. John Baptist between two trees and in front of him the arms of the founder of the town Frederick, Bishop of Kamień Pomorski, see images below.
