====Origin/meaning====
The oak represents the origin of the raw material for the activity of the tanneries, reinforced by the mallets that tilt it. The oak is fruity with gold, symbol of prosperity and wealth. The roots represent the antiquity, tradition and importance of this industry in Alcanena.
