Escudo de negro, oliveira de ouro, arrancada do mesmo e frutada de prata; em chefe, livro aberto de prata, carregado de uma pena verde, posta em banda. Coroa mural de prata de três torres. Listel branco, com a legenda a negro: “ AZOIA DE BAIXO “.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on January 26, 2001.
The book and feather pen refer to the famous writer and historian Alexandre Herculano who lived in the parish. The olive tree refers to the importance of olive cultivation for the village.
