Heraldry of the World Civic heraldry of Germany - Deutsche Wappen (Gemeindewappen/Kreiswappen) |
RHEINHAUSEN
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Emmendingen
Additions : 1972 Niederhausen, Oberhausen
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on Febrary 12, 1973.
The arms are those of Oberhausen, with a fish instead of a scythe. The fish is taken as a symbol for fisheries in the Rhein river and for the river itself.
