The piles are taken from the arms of the [[Archdiocese of Olomouc]] to which Hukvaldy used to belong (the number indicates that the community is composed of four villages), while the lyre points to the musical genius of composer Leoš Janaček who was born here in 1854. Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on July 15, 1993.

The piles are taken from the arms of the Archdiocese of Olomouc to which Hukvaldy used to belong (the number indicates that the community is composed of four villages), while the lyre points to the musical genius of composer Leoš Janaček who was born here in 1854. The fox is a pun on Janaček's opera, The Cunning Little Vixen. The battlements represent the ruins of the huge episcopal castle overlooking the place.
