FINNENTROP
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Olpe
Additions : 1969 Attendorn-Land (partly), Oedingen (partly), Schliprüthen, Schönholthausen
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 11, 1972.
The rose is derived from the arms of the medieval Lords von Finnentrop. The chevron symbolises the two rivers in the municipality, the Bigge and the Lenne. The green colour indicates the green character of the municipality.
