Province : West-Vlaanderen
Incorporated into : 1977 Zwevegem
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 15, 1949.
The arms show the arms of the De Croix family, Lords of Moen. In 1718 the Moen Estate became officially a county and Ignace de Crois hence used the title Count of Moen. His arms were also used by the local council and parish during the whole 18th century, as can seen from a seal dating from 1794.
The cross (croix) is a canting element. The left banner shows the arms of the Dadizele estate, another possession of the family (see now Moorslede).
