Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 4, 2001.

The wheel and the olive branches refer to industry and agriculture.

The cross refers to an old silver cross in the chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity, which was hidden under the roof of the chapel, to prevent it to be stolen by the invading forces of Napoleon.
