GROBBENDONK
Province : Antwerpen
Additions : 1977 Bouwel
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on April 17 1990.
The arms are those of the Schetz family, Lords of Grobbendonk for more than two centuries, from 1545-1726. The raven on a mountaintop is the historical arms of the family. In 1561 Gaspar Schetz bought the Wezemaal estate and added the fleur-de-lis of Wezemaal into the arms.
