Official blazon

  • (1818) Van goud beladen met een kerk van keel, staande op een groen terras, verzeld en chef van drie kanettes, mede van goud.
  • (1843) Een gulden schild, belaeden met eene roode kerk, op eene groene aerdhoogte, en vergezeld in het opperste veld met dry roode jonge eenden zonder pooten, op ry gesteld.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 4, 1818 and confirmed on August 2, 1843.

The church is a canting element (Kerk = church), the meaning or origin of the merles is not known.
