Portuguese Escudo de prata, cruz flordelisada de vermelho, vazia do campo, acompanhada em ponta por dois cachos de uvas de púrpura, folhados de verde. Coroa mural de prata de quatro torres. Listel branco com a legenda a negro: “ CAMARATE “.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 28, 1998.

The cross is taken from the arms of D. Nuno Àlvares Pereira, who was Lord of the area for quite some time. The grapes symbolise the importance of viticulture in the parish.
