Origin/meaning
The arms were granted together with the city rights in 1621 by Friedrich Mastiowsky von Kolowrat (z. Kolowrat-Mašťovští), the lord of the town at the time.
The arms of the city are those of the Kolowrat family. See also Mirotice. The arms appear on the seal of the city also from 1621.
