Province : Oost-Vlaanderen
Additions: 1977 Denderbelle, Wieze
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 13, 1819 and again on February 2, 1982.
The arms are based on the seal of the village from 1780, which shows St. Mary, the local patron saint, with Jesus.
The colours are the Dutch national colours, as in 1813 the mayor applied without indicating the colours. The arms were thus granted in the national colours. When the arms were confirmed in 1982 the colours were not changed.
