Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 2, 1925.

The arms are those of the Brabant-Limburg, however, with the lion of Limburg without its characteristic double tail. The arms appeared on the old seal of the village from the 16th and 17th century. Historically the area was part of the Duchies of brabant and Limburg.
