Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The oldest seal of the town (German name Nimptsch) dates from the 13th century and shows already a tower with the eagle of Silezia. On a seal dating from 1426 two acorns flank the tower. These developed later into oak branches and probably symbolise the forests surrounding the town.
