Province : Limburg
Incorporated into : 1977 Houthalen-Helchteren

Wapen van Helchteren

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on April 22, 1970.

The village of Helchteren belonged to the Sint Truiden Abbey from the late 13th until the late 18th century. The seals of the village, known since the 16th century) show the patron saint of the Abbey, Saint Trudo. The arms thus are based on the seal.
