HATZENWEIER
State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Rastatt (until 1972 Bühl)
Incorporated into : 1936 Ottersweier
Official blazon
In gespaltenem Schild vorne in Rot eine gestürzte goldene Pflugschar, hinten in Blau ein silbernes Senseneisen.
Origin/meaning
The municipality used in the 19th century only a seal with a scythe and plough iron placed crosswise and not in a shield. In the late 19th century the two items were placed in a shield.
In April 1900 the State Archives proposed to use arms with in the right half in red a golden plough iron and in the left half in blue a silver scythe. The arms were used by the municipality until 1936.
