Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on January 3, 1991.

The bend with the sword are a symbol for St. Martin, the patron saint of the village. The upper left part shows the arms of the Lords of Enschingen, who ruled the village as vassals of the Abbey of Bitburg. The lower right part shows a tree as a symbol for the agriculture and especially the horticulture. The golden field symbolises the gold medal the village received in 1989 in the German competition for the most clean village.
