PÓVOA DE VARZIM

Official blazon
Escudo de azul, com uma cruz nodosa de ouro, terminada inferiormente por dois braços de âncora de prata rematada superiormente por um anel, do qual cai um rosário de ouro. Enfiado no mesmo, ladeando a haste da cruz dos dois lados entrelaçando-se no seu pé; e em chefe, um sol de ouro, à dextra, e uma meia lua de prata deitada ( com as pontas para o flanco direito ) à sinistra. Coroa mural de prata de cinco torres. Listel branco com a legenda a ouro " PÓVOA DE VARZIM ".

The arms were officially granted on August 27, 1986.
