Official blazon

In Blau mit einem silbernen Balken; dieser belegt mit Notenlinien, einem Violinschlüssel sowie den Noten b-a-c-h; oben zwei und unten eine goldene Königskrone.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 27, 1999.

The arms refer to the two most important historical events in the village.

The crowns refer to the meeting of the King of Prussia (Friedrich Wilhelm III), Emperor of Austria (Franz I) and Czar of Russia (Alexander I) in Dornheim on October 26, 1813 after the Battle of Leipzig against Napoleon.

The bar refers to the fact that Johann Sebastian Bach married his cousin Maria Barbara Bach in Dornheim on October 17, 1707.

Literature : Ulle, 2011.
