IHMERT
State : Nordrhein-Westfalen
District (Kreis) : Märkischer Kreis (until 1975 Iserlohn)
Amt : Amt Hemer
Incorporated into : 1975 Hemer
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on June 14, 1939.
The three hooks in the arms are the symbol of the Amt Hemer, to which the village belonged. The upper part shows an iron tool with holes (German Zieheisen) used to produce wire industrially. It is a symbol for the local industry.
