The National Arms of the Dominican Republic | The National Flag | Location |
Administrative division
The Dominican Republicis divided into 30 provinces (plus the National District, consisting of the capital Santo Domingo de Guzmán) and 154 cities and municipalities. The municipalities may be further divided into municipal districts.
Heraldry
Only very few provinces and municipalities use truly heraldic coats of arms. Most use some kind of emblem or logo (often incorrectly referred to as coats of arms). In several cases these emblems have been added to this site. The National District has no arms.
