VELTEM-BEISEM

Province : Vlaams-Brabant
Incorporated into : 1977 Herent

Wapen van Veltem-Beisem

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 29, 1961.

The arms show two shields. The shield with the lion represents Veltem, which was a possession of the Duke sof Brabant until 1505. The lion thus is the lion of Brabant. The other shield represents Beisem and shows the arms of the De Robiano family, last Lords of Beisem in the 18th century.
