Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Saale-Wipper
Additions : 1993 Gnölbzig
German |
In Silber drei (2:1) schneckenförmig gewundene rote Aale. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms show the arms of the Counts of Alsleben, who became extinct in 1126. Some images from the 16th and 17th century show three eels instead of three roses in the lower part of the arms. These are probably canting (Aale=eel).
