En campo de azur, una torre donjonada de oro sumada de dos banderas de gules con asta de sable, sostenida por ondas de plata y azur y terrasada de gules. En bordura de plata, la leyenda "CIVITAS SEXIS FOR MENSIS S.P.Q". Rodeando el escudo una cinta de gules con la leyenda "MUY NOBLE Y LEAL CIUDAD DE MOTRIL" en letras de plata. Por timbre corona real abierta.
