Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on November 19, 1936.
The arms are identical to the arms of the Van Ursel family, oldest Lords of the village, who later were promoted to Dukes of Ursel and who had several other possessions, such as Hallaar, Hingene, Hoboken, Kerkhove and Millam.
