County: Nowa Sól
Polish | blazon wanted |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on May 19, 1528 by Emperor Ferdinand I.
The arms of the city show a castle, which is defended by a knight ready to throw a stone. The arms probably are canting for the Gernam name of the town, Wartenberg can be translated as "defended hill".
Seal from around 1900 |
