SAN ANDRÉS Y PROVIDENCIA DEPARTMENT
Official blason
Origin/meaning
The arms show in the base the three islands in the state, San Andres, Providencia and Santa Catalina. The silver cross is the symbol of St. Andrew and thus a canting element. The colours are those of the Columbian flag, indicating the sovereignity to Colombia.
