State : São Paulo

Arms of Bady Bassitt

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 12, 1982.

The arms are canting for the old name of the city, Borboleta (butterfly), taken from the river of the same name, and symbolised in the base of the shield. The stars symbolise the bright future. The arrows are the symbol of St. Sebastian, patron saint of the city.

The motto Lucet per se means 'shines by itself'.

The shield is surrounded by corn and coffee branches, the main agricultural crops in the area.
