Arms (crest) of Kladruby nad Labem

Official blazon

V červeném štítě s modrou vlnitou patou vykračující stříbrný kladrubský kůň se zlatou zbrojí převýšený rakouskou císařskou korunou s fimbriemi.

Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on November 30, 2007.

The town is world famous for its horse breeding and stud farms. This is symbolised by the horse. The crown probably points to the fact that the town produced horses for the imperial court of Austria-Hungary as well as for the Czech presidential Castle Guard today.

The blue wavy base of the arms is probably canting as the name of the city is "Kladruby on the Elbe".
