Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were registered on January 22, 2001.
The arms are based on the town seal from 1621. It represents medieval folklore tradition of „zarážení hory“ (loosely „closing the vineyard“). When the grapes started to ripen (late August) all roads to the vinyards were blocked by wattle fences, and maypoles with bunches of flowers attached were erected in the vineyards. No one was allowed to enter the vineyards until the harvest and trespassers were heavily punished.
