Arms of Ziębice

Origin/meaning

The arms of the city (German name Münsterberg ) show three towers on a hill, with a star and crescent. The towers can be canting in German (Münsterberg means mountain with a monastery). The eagle in the small gate is the eagle of Silezia.

The towers are already seen on the 13th century seals of the city, but the eagle only appeared in the 15th century. Ever since the city has used the same composition. During the years the size, shape and colours have varied, as seen in the images below:
