| Portuguese | Escudo de prata, com um monte de negro, rematado por um castelo de azul, aberto iluminado e lavrado do primeiro, encimado por uma romã de verde, rachada de vermelho e rematada por uma cruz latina de negro; o castelo acompanhado à dextra de um crescente e à sinistra de um sol, ambos de vermelho; em contra chefe assente na base do monte, uma ponte de três arcos de prata, sobre uma ponta ondada de faixetas de azul e prata. Coroa mural de cinco torres de prata. Listel de prata com legenda a negro : " CIDADE DE MONTEMOR-O-NOVO ". |

The arms were officially granted on June 25, 1990.
Unfortunately I have no background information on these arms. Any information is welcome !
