Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1969.
The hide represents the local tanning industry and the cogwheel other industrial enterprises. St. Adalbert, bishop of Prague in the 10th century and patron saint of the local church is symbolised by the mitre. His full figure appeared in the community's old seal, see below.
