Gedwarsbalkt van acht stukken van zilver en van keel met een leeuw van sabel, gekroond van goud, over alles heen.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 6, 1989.

The arms are based on the arms of the Van Hoensbroeck family (see Hoensbroek), who ruled the estates of Kwaadmechelen and Oostham in the 15th and 16th century.
