Origin/meaning

Black is the colour of the Engineers. The two Castles symbolises the fact that the Regiment was the Second Engineer Regiment raised. The Flower indicates the Santa Margarida Base. The Wavy base symbolises the Sea near the Santa Margarida Base. The crest symbolises the city of Espinho, where the Regiment is based.
